#ERA Conference on #Digitalisation and #AI in Criminal Justice in Barcelona
On 12-13 February 2026, I participated in the #ERA Conference on #Digitalisation and #AI in Criminal Justice in Barcelona organised by the Academy of European Law (ERA) in cooperation with the Illustre Collegi de l’Advocacia de Barcelona ICAB (Barcelona Bar Association).
My presentation was on “AI agents in cyberattacks: implications and the applicable international framework for public-private collaboration.” During my talk, I explored the emerging concept of ‘Agentic AI’ and include the analysis of a case study on Anthropic’s Cyberspionage Operation of September 2025, as well as a mapping of the international frameworks applicable for AI cooperation in Criminal Law, including Part V (Arts. 30 and 31) of EL PACCTO’s Model Law on Artificial Intelligence and Crime launched in October 2025 in EL PACCTO’s bilateral conference in Rio de Janeiro .
This conference offered an excellent opportunity to connect with European judges, prosecutors, and criminal law practitioners across Europe and to network with well-regarded professionals and criminal law practitioners from Barcelona associated to ICAB.
