New Article published in the ERA Forum (Springer Nature)

I’m pleased to share that my co-authored article with Marc Reina, “Artificial Intelligence and Transnational Criminality: Towards a Harmonised Model Law Applied to Security and Justice” has been published online in ERA Forum April 2026 (Springer Nature)

I extend my sincere appreciation to Laviero Buono from the Academy of European Law (ERA) for supporting the publication and making it available through ERA Forum.

The article highlights recent initiatives under the EL PACCTO 2.0 programme in the area of AI and organised crime, and examines the future implementation of the Model Law on Artificial Intelligence and Crime (MLAIC). This proposed framework seeks to address legal and procedural gaps, promote harmonisation among diverse legal systems, and strengthen international cooperation in criminalising offences committed or assisted through AI systems. It also analyses the potential impact of the MLAIC on the modernisation of national laws and on efforts to enhance security and justice in the digital age.
